<p>The most effective way to lose stubborn belly fat is through regular cardio exercise and a sensible diet. Concentrating all your exercising efforts on to your mid-range with crunches and sit-ups etc just doesn’t work. What you will need is a full-body training plan including cardio and resistance exercising. </p>
<p>Your belly fat is, in simple terms, a build of stored energy which needs to be burned off, so the aim is to burn more calories through exercising than the calories that we eat. Getting the right mix of exercise and diet will greatly improve your chances of burning belly fat and so having a more appealing stomach. </p>
<p>Below are the cardio exercises that I personally rate as the best 3 for burning belly fat. </p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Running.</strong> – This, in my opinion, is the best cardio exercise for burning belly fat and there are a few reasons why I rate it as the no.1 exercise. You don’t need any special equipment (apart from running shoes), you can do it almost anywhere and you can burn a serious amount of calories. On the downside, to be comfortable with running you will need to do it on a regular basis and keep a check on any discomfort in you knees and ankles.<br /> </li>
<li><strong>Cycling.</strong> – This is another excellent calorie burner. Cycling can be done inside or outside. Using the power in your legs it’s possible (depending on how fast you cycle and how high the resistance) to burn 250 – 300 calories in 30 minutes. A little investment needed for a decent bike, but the rewards are well worth it.<br /> </li>
<li><strong>Step Aerobics.</strong> – Still a very popular exercise and with good reason. Step aerobics is a tough workout that targets the legs, backside and hips burning off large amounts of unwanted calories in the process. Step aerobics looks complicated, but with a bit of practise can soon be mastered.</li>
</ol>
<p> Using the above 3 exercises will greatly help with the reduction of your unwanted belly fat and help you on your way to a flat, healthy stomach. Remember, though, that you will need a sensible diet too as well as the exercises. Having the wrong diet will mean you have to work harder to burn off the calories.</p>

<p>People ask me all the time, &#8220;are there really belly fat burning foods&#8221;?  Yes, Yes and Yes! Don&#8217;t just take my word for it,  numerous highly reputable organizations have data to back up these claims. The organizations with the science to back it up include: The National Insitutes of Health,  Johns Hopkins, Penn State University, Indiana University and the list goes on and on. In a nutshell, here&#8217;s the fab five foods and what the data says about  these belly fat burning foods.</p>
<ul>
<li>Oils, especially olive oil </li>
<li>Olives</li>
<li>Nuts &#038; Seeds</li>
<li>Avocados</li>
<li>Dark Chocolate </li>
</ul>
<p>These fab five (known as monounsaturated fatty acids or MUFAs) do a number of great things like lower the risk of breast cancer, reduce inflammation, protect the heart, ward off type 2 diabetes and (drum roll please&#8230;) target belly fat! In an Australian study subjects were divided into two groups. Group 1 ate a typical breakfast with saturated fat (for example bacon, pastry). Group 2 ate a breakfast low in saturated fat but included olive oil. The oilve oil group had a significantly higher fat burning rate in the five hours following the olive oil rich breakfast. And get this: the fat burning was particularly evident in the group with greater belly fat! Again, there are a number studies which all show similar results.</p>
<p>To optimize the benefit of belly fat burning food include them in every meal you eat but (and this is important) limit these fab five to no more 30% of your daily calories. For women, your daily calorie intake should be 1,800 calories. (30% of 1,800: 540 calories). For men your daily calorie target should be 2,000. (30% of 2,000: 600 calories). Learning to eat five small meals per day of between 300&#8211;400 calories will keep your metabolism in high gear and also helps belly fat burning. This means for a 400 calorie meal, about 120 calories of that should be from the fab five food group listed above. For example, 10 almonds or walnuts sprinkled on your morning oat meal would work or half an avocado on your salad at lunch. </p>

<p>1) Interval Training. This is a highly effective method of working out, here is what you ought to do. Mount a treadmill and do a quick 2-3 minute warm-up then do a short burst of 2 minutes at 90% of your maximum effort and follow this by doing a further 1 minute at 50% of your maximum effort. Try to keep repeating this cycle for a minimum of twenty minutes. Not only is this going to dramatically increase your aerobic fitness, it will also give your metabolism a massive boost that will ensure your body keeps burning through those calories well after the workout has finished.</p>
<p>2) Do weight training sessions. Two or three times every week try to do a weight training session. The reason for that is that muscle tissue needs more calories to keep it functioning properly than fat tissue does. This means that the more muscle you have the more calories you will burn even when at rest. Make sure you include the major compound exercises such as squats, bench presses, pull-ups and dead lifts; these will give your metabolic rate a real boost!</p>
<p>3) Walk. Simple yet effective a brisk walk around the park, home from the shops, with the dog or even a day out walking in the hills, these are all really great for burning calories. They are ideal for people who are not fans of the gym or intense exercise and also double up as very relaxing activities where you can gather your thoughts a little.</p>
<p>4) It doesn&#8217;t really matter what form of activity you do so long as you do some, be it swimming/rowing/running. Of course some exercises a re more intense than others and will use up a greater number of calories but the main point is to ensure that you are exercising frequently. Swimming is a great way to get around the problem of jarring your joints that often occurs in some activities.</p>
<p>5) Play sports. Get yourself signed up with a local sports club. Why not rediscover the passion for a former hobby although anything will suffice. Maybe get involved with 5 a side soccer, squash, badminton anything you like really. Becoming part of a team is highly motivating and can make exercise seem less like a chore a more like something you just do with your mates.</p>

<p>Begin to perform a Jump Rope for the first two minutes of burning routine. You can perform by jumping twice on every turn of the rope. <p>In minutes 2 to 3, you will need to perform Squat Thrust into a Push Up. <p>In minutes 4 to 5, you need to perform Back to the Squat Thrust and this time you will put the Side Plank only when you Push Up. After you complete them, you will need to raise and turn your left arm out of the floor and above your head. Your left foot will then rotate and place above of your right foot. And you will turn your neck as if you look up at a ceiling. Turn backward to the center position and repeat this exercise on other side. When completed, skip back to your squat position, stand up and begin again.</p>
<p>In minutes 5 to 6, you perform Jump Rope, the same one as minutes 3 to 4.</p>
<p>In minutes 6 and 7, you will need to return to Squat Thrust and Push Up. But this time you will add the Leg Lift. You will need to raise the toes up of one foot about twelve inches out of the floor just after you have completed your push up. Slowly drop your foot and do it again on the opposite side. When finished, skip back to your squat position, stand up and begin again.</p>
<p>In minutes 7 to 8, you perform Jump Rope, the same exercise as minutes 3 and 4.</p>
<p>In minutes 8 and 9, you will need to return to Squat Thrust and Push Up. But this time you will add the Mountain Climbers. Repeat all the things as in minutes 2 and 3. But for this time, when you finished push up, you need to swiftly jog in place of your push up position. Make sure you move your knees close to your chest for each turning. Perform 5 jogs then repeat this whole process.</p>

Another reason why these foods works is because they are foods that help you feel fuller longer.  A great nutrient to fill you up without a lot of extra calories is protein and fruits and vegetables also provide that fullness because they are good sources of fiber.
