How to Lose Body Fat?

How to lose body fat? That is the question. How many of us have wondered that very thought? I certainly know that the older I get the harder it is to lose my excess fat. I also, without a doubt, notice that I gain body fat a whole lot easier than I did when I was younger. Body fat just seems to be magnetically attracted to me. How about you? Do you have the same problem? Well here are a couple of brief things you can do to help get rid of your body fat.

First, it is a good thing that you are even asking the question “How to lose body fat?” No matter what our problem may be we need to take ownership of it. Basically, if we do not see we have a problem we will not do anything about it. So you are reading this because you know that you have more body and belly fat than you want to have and you are ready to do something about it. That is really the first step in losing body fat getting yourself into the right mindset to know that you want to lose your fat and get back in shape.

Most of us already know how to lose body fat the problem comes in actually applying what we know to be true. Really, all we need to do is to eat right and get some exercise and we will dump the extra fat. Losing the body fat is not all that hard. The hard part is actually doing it. Does that make sense? I think it does all it really takes is a small change in our lifestyle. Here are my two thoughts for the day for learning how to lose body fat.

Eat right.

I know this is profound stuff. But let's face the facts most people do not eat properly. We just shove it in and give no concern to what foods burn or does not burn fat. Then we wonder why the fast clings to us. Come on find out how to eat right and you will burn some of that body fat.

Exercise.

Wow! More profound stuff. Am I on a roll or what? Get some aerobic exercises into your lifestyle three to four times a week and you will begin to see a difference. Add some muscle building and you will see the fat magically disappear.

... and guys, listen up:  You are not immune to arm flab. Even if your don't have any, the tips I'm about to give will help you build stronger arms.

Before I go any further, I have to tell you about Marty Web.

Marty looked like ... well, your typical 59-year-old housewife. Actually she looked a bit worse.

She has two pages in Fit Over 40... too much to cover in an email... but here's the basics to get you started:

1. You have to get your nutrition down pat. Most people think that the flab on their arms (or anywhere for that matter) can be solved by "turning it into muscle."

This is not true folks. Fat does not turn into "anything". It is used for energy. Period.

Muscle is muscle. Fat is fat.

You must use low-insulin nutrition like I recommend in all my books, including Fit Over 40, to lower your bodyfat. For ladies, the back-of-the-arm bodyfat is often the last bit to go.

But I promise -- it will go. I can go for anyone. Marty Web and dozens of other ladies in Fit Over 40 prove that in living color... and they share how they did it.

Low-insulin nutrition means eating more protein-rich foods, foods that are not processed, and plenty of tasty veggies. But it does not mean you cannot have your pizza and burgers here and there. I do every week and my bodyfat is low.

2. You must train your triceps. The back of the arm is made of three muscles called the "triceps". You have a long head, a medial head and a lateral head that form the triceps muscle group.

If you cannot access a gym, you can do plain-old pushups to work all three heads of the triceps. Here's a few tips. First, if you cannot do a pushup with your legs straight, start by doing them on your knees. Work up to straight-legged pushups.

Second, do one third of your reps with your hands facing away from your body, one third with your hands facing toward your body (fingers pointing toward you) and the final third with your hands in the "normal" pushup position, facing the same direction as your body. This will work the various heads nicely.

3. Finally, you have to have a role model. Find someone like Marty who has lost their wings and use their success to inspire you.

Put these three things together and you too will be "grounded" -- wingless, but with a lovely pair of arms that never jiggle and look fantastic.

Most of us want to discover the best way to lose body fat. However the problem for many is that they do not want to wait it out. They want it right now this instant with absolutely no effort or changes in their lifestyle or habits. Unfortunately the lose weight “McQuick” diets do not work in the long run and we will not survive the lost body fat for any period of time. In other words we will put it back on and probably with a vengeance ending up with more body flab than we had in the first place. What is a person to do? Read on and I may be able to help you survive the weight loss you are looking for in the long run.

I have no doubt that this is the best way to lose body fat and survive. The bottom line is that you do have to change your lifestyle somewhat in order to survive for the long term. I know you do not want to make all those changes that you think you will need to in order to dump the fat and keep it off. Let me just say that the changes are really not that difficult once you set your mind to it and just do it. Here are a couple of things that you can do in the comfort of your home to get that toned body you have always wanted.

Change the way you eat.

No you do not have to make major changes. Just a few simple little changes will help. Things like eating smaller portions more times a day. Begin getting into the habit of eating five to six meals a day but make the portions smaller. What this does is it keeps you body's metabolism working around the clock thus burning off those calories and thus reducing your body fat. Watching how many calories and what kinds of food you put into your body will also help so get in the habit of eating correctly.

Get more physical exercise.

Many folks who finally decide to discover the best way to lose body fat find that they have lived a pretty sedimentary lifestyle. In other words you sit around too much and don't get enough activity to help you body burn off the fat. Listen even if you just bump your activity by 15 to 20% you will see a huge difference. Think what could happen if you got into a resistant training routine coupled with proper nutrition and a little bit more cardio exercises.

I believe that if you just add these couple of things to your routine every day you will have found the best way to lose body fat and survive the process.

It is a difficult task to get rid of belly fat but it is not impossible. Yes you can lose love handles forever. The problem comes, however, when we do not think that we can follow a plan of action. Or we think it is just too hard to succeed in our desire for weight loss. Let me give you a quick motivational talk so that you can succeed in dumping that extra baggage you are carrying around unnecessarily.

The first problem is the way you think about things. Do not listen to all the nay slayers that tell you it is too hard or that you can never lose the weight you want to lose. The second thing is to believe in yourself. Set your goal and believe that you are man or woman enough to achieve that goal. Now do not be foolish and set some way out of reach goal but instead set a small goal and reach for it until you achieve it then set the bar a little bit higher. The smaller the first step the easier it is to take it and then it is a matter of just putting one foot in front of the other until you get to where you want to be. Yes it is a difficult task to get rid of belly fat but you can do it one step at a time. Yes you can lose those love handles forever just wrap your mind around that truth and you will succeed.

The Best Way to Lose Stomach Fat

I know that you want to lose your belly and some of the other extra pounds of flesh that has been hanging loosely all around your body. I have got to tell you that one of the best ways to lose stomach fat is to avoid the following five things.

1. Avoid starving yourself.

Many people want to slash their food intake to next too nothing. All this does is to cause the body to save the calories rather than burning them. If your body is not burning calories then it is burning muscle or at the very least breaking them down and that is not a good thing. It really is not how much you weigh as much as it is about having less body fat and more muscle mass. The more muscle you have the faster you metabolism works and the more calories you burn and the more you  lose stomach fat.

2. Avoid eating so fast.

This is one of my biggest problems because when I eat I woof it down as fast as I can. This causes a problem because my stomach gets way too full before my brain says stop eating. I am usually done ten to fifteen minutes before my wife because she talks in between mouthfuls. I, of course, listen as I eat and eat. (Okay, so I pretend to listen). Bottom line is that if you slow down when you eat you will actually eat less and that is a good thing.

3. Avoid eating processed food.

Well, maybe not all together but for sure you probably need to cut back on all the store bought processed bread and cereal. You definitely need to have fiber in your diet and these processed foods have very little. Try some of the whole-grained breads and cereals along with wheat spaghetti and noodles. They actually taste pretty good and they will help you lose stomach fat.

4. Avoid all nighters.

Do you r best to get a full eight hours of sleep a night. Once you get into the habit it gets much easier. The same routine is important for you. I have learned that if I get up at the same time every morning and go to bed at the same time I have a much better day not only in the gym but also at work. It is a proven fact that the less sleep you get the higher insulin and glucose in your blood making for lousy metabolism for burning off the stomach fat.

5. Avoid too little water.

I know that the avoid idea on this one is a stretch but it had to match the other four. You should be drinking at least 64 ounces of water each and every day. This should take place regardless if you are exercising that day or not. You need the water to flush your system of all the toxins and other trash you will find as your workouts break down the fat and your metabolism burns those unwanted calories. Water also helps you to digest the food you ingest and carries the nutrients to your muscles. Hey if your urine is a dark yellow you are not getting enough water you want it to be very very light yellow and clear is better.

So the bottom line is the best way to lose stomach fat is to avoid the things listed above and to put together a good nutritional and exercise program that helps you to lose that awful belly fat.

Getting rid of fat and keeping it off

get rid of fatmay just be the hardest thing a person can do. We go on diet after diet and plan after plan and never succeed in dropping more than a couple of pounds and then within the week we have put it back on and sometimes even more than we lost. How do I know this? It is because I have done it time after time just like you have. I have got to tell you fad diets do not work and I have proven this at least a dozen times haven't you?

So what do we do if our desire is to get rid of fat and these new or old fangled diets don't work?  Here is what I did and I believe it will work for you as well. It really is simple if you know what you are doing and you stick with it. Does it take work? Yes it does and in fact anything worth its salt take effort. Without effort you can just forget about getting rid of fat and keeping it off. Do these three things and you will succeed in losing those extra pounds that you have put on Don't do these three things and you will just stay the same or put on more fat your choice not mine.

Get the proper thought pattern.

If you do not get your thought right you will not succeed in losing weight. Most of the problem in getting anything done is between the ears. If we do not get the little Grey matter thinking in the right direction we will not make it. Decide right here and now that you will get rid of your fat and tone your body up. Decide to do it then just do it!

Find the proper exercise pattern.

Once yo get your mind set and you have decided that you will succeed the next thing you need to do is decide on what exercise routine you are going to use to get the job done. It will take a well rounded routine that will target the whole body inside and out. You will need some cardiovascular exercises along with some strength, resistance training. You cannot simple target one small area on your body it must be done using an over all system.

Get the proper nutritional pattern.

You can do all the exercising you want to but if you do not couple it with proper nutrition then you are wasting your time and time is too valuable a commodity to waste. When you learn what foods to eat and what foods to avoid it goes a long ways to getting rid of the fat. Finding out what fats are good for you and what fats are bad for you is essential to proper nutritional eating.

I have to tell you that once you get these things down pat you will lose the fat. However, if you get even one of them off kilter and cheat doing them then you will fail when it comes to keeping the fat off. It doe not make sense to me to put forth the effort for a couple of weeks and then quit. This has to be a lifestyle change or you will not succeed and I realize that this is a big commitment for you but you must make it.
