How to Lose Body Fat?

How to lose body fat? That is the question. How many of us have wondered that very thought? I certainly know that the older I get the harder it is to lose my excess fat. I also, without a doubt, notice that I gain body fat a whole lot easier than I did when I was younger. Body fat just seems to be magnetically attracted to me. How about you? Most of us already know how to lose body fat the problem comes in actually applying what we know to be true. Really, all we need to do is to eat right and get some exercise and we will dump the extra fat. Losing the body fat is not all that hard. The hard part is actually doing it. Does that make sense? I think it does all it really takes is a small change in our lifestyle. Here are my two thoughts for the day for learning how to lose body fat.

Eat right.

I know this is profound stuff. But let's face the facts most people do not eat properly. We just shove it in and give no concern to what foods burn or does not burn fat. Then we wonder why the fast clings to us. Come on find out how to eat right and you will burn some of that body fat.

Exercise.

Wow! More profound stuff. Am I on a roll or what? Get some aerobic exercises into your lifestyle three to four times a week and you will begin to see a difference. Add some muscle building and you will see the fat magically disappear.

lose my belly fatGetting a tight, flat tummy may be the ultimate dream for most people today. We would all like to reduce love handles and be able to actually see our six pack abs. I used to tell my daughter that I had these great looking 6-pack abs and she would quickly shot back,

“I know daddy but they are covered with 2 inches of fat.”

Ouch, did that hurt or what! I still have a little fat left but most of it is gone and you can see the ripples protruding through that now thin layer of belly fat. I had been doing a number of different abdominal specific exercises to try to get that tight, flat tummy and although I succeeded in getting the muscles it did not get rid of the belly fat that covered those muscles. I finally learned the secret behind dumping that excess blubber was to burn the fat away. Here are a couple of the things I learned.

Eat the correct kinds of food.

Yes, I know that fast food is the norm for us today. We like to sit down and eat right away, no waiting, no fuss, just fill me up. Well, if you really want to get that tight, flat tummy then forget about eating at the local “McQuick” fast food joint. And you really need to change your lifestyle so that you are eating fresh, home cooked meals. Stopped buying those frozen dinners and pizzas they are loaded with calories and other not so good for you stuff. You will never lose the belly fat if you eat poorly.

Get some sort of daily exercise.

Get off of the couch and get busy doing something physical. It does not have to be overly strenuous or take up all your free time. A brisk walk or slow jog 30 minutes four or five times a week. Perhaps you could find a set of stairs to walk up and down half a dozen times or do some dancing in the living room. I even heard of one person who would spin around like a little kid during the TV commercials. Just stretch out your arms and spin clockwise during every commercial and you will burn some fat helping you to get that tight flat tummy you are looking for. Just be careful you don’t knock over the lamp. It does not hurt you a bit to do some abdominal exercises as well. I do pull-ups and my favorite exercise called the plank. These help not only my abs but also my biceps so when I am riding the Harley I at least look like I am in shape.

Just doing these couple of things will greatly improve your looks when it comes to that tight, flat tummy. And of course being able to reduce love handles will help in that area as well.

It is a difficult task to get rid of belly fat but it is not impossible. Yes you can lose love handles forever. The problem comes, however, when we do not think that we can follow a plan of action. Or we think it is just too hard to succeed in our desire for weight loss. Now do not be foolish and set some way out of reach goal but instead set a small goal and reach for it until you achieve it then set the bar a little bit higher. The smaller the first step the easier it is to take it and then it is a matter of just putting one foot in front of the other until you get to where you want to be. I Want to Lose My Belly!

Man, do I know how you feel. I also wanted to get rid of my belly fat in the worst way. When I was younger I never had a problem. In fact until I turned 40ish I always had a flat stomach. Then all of a sudden I looked in the mirror and noticed quite a bit of lingering fat draped around my mid section. Yuck I need to dump this stuff. So here is what I did.

First I watched what I ate.

Obviously we all know that proper nutrition is important. The problem is I like to eat out a lot and junk food is a normal staple for me. So I had to get into a decent eating routine that cut back on at least some of the junk foods. Once you get past the cravings of sweets and the fast food burger and fries coupled with a root beer shake it is amazing how much belly fat rolls off.

Second I started some high intensity training.

High intensity training is exactly that. It takes hard work and can even be a tad painful as you get used to pushing yourself past the normal routines. I have found that quick burst work better than long distance running so here is what I do for cardio. I warm up with some stretching exercises then jog for a few minutes. I then run as fast as I can for 30 to 40 seconds. Make it a good wind sprint. I then jog for the same amount of time and then repeat until I cannot do it anymore. When you push yourself to failure you will see a huge difference.

Third I work out on a regular basis.

It has been proven that a well rounded exercise plan is far better than keying in on just one portion of the body. In other words just doing abdominal training is not sufficient to lose your belly fat. It takes an over-all plan to get it done. We all have six-pack abs. Its just that some folks have a ton of belly flab covering it up. If you are one who is asking how can I lose my belly fat then you are on the right path to success.

Getting rid of fat and keeping it off

get rid of fatmay just be the hardest thing a person can do. We go on diet after diet and plan after plan and never succeed in dropping more than a couple of pounds and then within the week we have put it back on and sometimes even more than we lost. How do I know this? It is because I have done it time after time just like you have. I have got to tell you fad diets do not work and I have proven this at least a dozen times haven't you?

So what do we do if our desire is to get rid of fat and these new or old fangled diets don't work?  Here is what I did and I believe it will work for you as well. It really is simple if you know what you are doing and you stick with it. Does it take work? Yes it does and in fact anything worth its salt take effort. Without effort you can just forget about getting rid of fat and keeping it off. Do these three things and you will succeed in losing those extra pounds that you have put on Don't do these three things and you will just stay the same or put on more fat your choice not mine.

Get the proper thought pattern.

If you do not get your thought right you will not succeed in losing weight. Most of the problem in getting anything done is between the ears. If we do not get the little Grey matter thinking in the right direction we will not make it. Decide right here and now that you will get rid of your fat and tone your body up. Decide to do it then just do it!

Find the proper exercise pattern.

Once yo get your mind set and you have decided that you will succeed the next thing you need to do is decide on what exercise routine you are going to use to get the job done. It will take a well rounded routine that will target the whole body inside and out. You will need some cardiovascular exercises along with some strength, resistance training. You cannot simple target one small area on your body it must be done using an over all system.

Get the proper nutritional pattern.

You can do all the exercising you want to but if you do not couple it with proper nutrition then you are wasting your time and time is too valuable a commodity to waste. When you learn what foods to eat and what foods to avoid it goes a long ways to getting rid of the fat.
