  1. Write down what you are eating- be as neutral as possible, peculiarly when measuring the portion size. A food journal helps greatly in surveying your calorie consumption- do the review regularly, for example every Sunday.

  6. Eat breakfast. Many people skip over breakfast because they think it scales down their gross calorie consumption. But normally they eat more in the evenings, and often they have more calories that way compared to eating breakfast.
  7. Water or a low calorie soup are good to consume before eating. They will fill you up. It assists with portion control. There are always two components to look at: What you eat and how much of it. Having water or soup before eating helps with the "how much" part.
  8. Numerous individuals (I belong to this group) have a difficult time losing weight when they are having dairy products. Skip milk and dairy products for 2 weeks and see if it serves you. Soy milk will assist with slumping oestrogen levels in women over 40, so it’s a good alternative for milk.
  9. You can't drink too much herbal tea and water.  They will flush out toxins from your body- but you need to drink enough to make that happen.
